About the race
The SKF Ekiden will take place in Tongeren on Wednesday 11 November 2026. You can run 42 kilometers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.A relay race is not a competition against each other, but a victory with each other.
Competition format
During the SKF Ekiden, each team consists of six runners who take turns covering part of the legendary 42.195 km. The first, third, and fifth runners each cover 5 km, while runners two and four cover 10 km. The sixth and final runner brings the Tasuki, the ribbon that is passed on each time, across the finish line after 7.195 km. A real team effort, running Japanese style!
