Shetland Sprint Triathlon 2026
Welcome to The Shetland Sprint Triathlon 2026! This event, hosted by Shetland Triathlon Club, takes place at the West Mainland Leisure Centre in Aith, Shetland. The triathlon includes a 750m pool swim in a 16m pool, a 20km cycle route heading towards Bixter Junction and Papa Stour Ferry before returning to Aith, and a 5km run consisting of six short laps around the leisure centre grounds.
Race Details:

- Run: 5 km (6 laps)
Competitors must be 15 years or older on 31st December 2026. Parental consent is required for those aged 15-17. A British Triathlon race pass may be required for non-federation members (£2.00-£8.00 plus service charge). Individual entry fees are £15 for STC members and £20 for non-members. Team entry fees are £20 for STC members and £25 for non-members.
Registration opens at 9:00 am at Aith Leisure Centre for race numbers and bike rack slots. The race brief is at 9:45 am, and the race starts at 10:00 am.
All bikes must be roadworthy, and helmets are compulsory.
