Seven Sisters Half Marathon
Welcome to the South Downs Half Marathon. This beautiful route is set in the stunning South Downs National Park. It is an achievable single loop trail race, perfect for first-time trail runners and a great way to prepare for longer events.
Runners will start in Eastbourne and follow the South Downs Way through Friston Forest and woodland trails, heading towards the Seven Sisters and over Beachy Head, returning to the start. The course offers spectacular views and is a combination of grass trails, farm tracks, and forest paths with 2000 feet of elevation. While there are hilly sections, there are also flat parts, and the terrain is very runnable and not technical.

Refund, Deferral and transfer Policy:
- Up to March 2nd, 2026: 50% refund.
- After March 2nd, 2026: No refunds, except for pregnancy (full refund upon notification before the race).
- Deferral to 2027 or transfer to another runner: Possible up to two weeks before race day.
- Deferrals can only be made once. A small fee applies for deferrals made within six weeks of the event.
- Pregnant women can defer their place to 2027/28 and for a further 2 years if they fall pregnant again within that period. Email [email protected] for changes.
