About the race
The Semi-Marathon de la Province de Liège will take place in Liège on Sunday 18 October 2026. You can run between 5 and 21 kilometers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
On the traces of one of the oldest marathons in the world! Liège was the 6th city in the world to organize a marathon, in 1910. Although it was not continued, it remains a historical curiosity that is somewhat extended by the organization of the Province of Liège half-marathon, which follows part of this historic course. As in 1910, participants will also have the opportunity to come to the start by tram as the starting point, Île Monsin, is located at the end of the line, at the "Coronmeuse" stop. On Sunday, October 18, the 7th edition of the Province of Liège half-marathon will therefore offer an event that combines history and modernity. All courses, flat and fast for the races, start from the Esplanade Roi Albert and end near the new eco-district of Coronmeuse. This is a novelty for the 10km and the half-marathon (the last 3 km have become the first and vice versa). An after-race village is planned near the parade boats. Nearly 6,000 participants are expected. Take up the challenge of the Province of Liège half-marathon, between yesterday and tomorrow!
