Scurry Around Devilla Forest Trail running festival 2026
Scurry Around Devilla Forest is a trail running festival on 23 Aug 2026 based at Tulliallan police college, Tulliallan Castle, Kincardine, FK10 4BE. The event uses one-lap courses that run through and around Devilla Forest, which covers over 1900 acres of mainly Scots pines and includes four lochs, red squirrels and mixed terrain.
Distances offered:
- Half marathon one-lap course through Devilla Forest.
- 10 km one-lap trail route.
- 5 km one-lap trail route.
- 5 km (Juniors 10-15) separate junior entry.
- 1.5 km family fun run circuit around the college grounds.
Routes are clearly signposted and marshalled on off-road paths. Surfaces include uneven trail, tarmac, grass and mud; participants are advised to prepare for mixed surfaces. All half marathon, 10 km and 5 km finishers receive a medal and a race memento. Fun run children receive a finishers medal and post-race snacks. Prize awards apply in the competitive races; no prizes are given for the fun run.
Event partners and on-site services include race commentary, food and drink vendors, and a coffee van. Contributions from the trail runs will support local charities including the Kincardine Community Association and the Scottish Police Benevolent Fund. ENTRY FEE: Half Marathon (min. age 16yrs on the day of the run) £32.00 via entry central - Earlybird - up to the 31st March / £34.50 via entry central - from 1st April to the 31st May / £36.50 via entry central - 1st June until closing. Online entries preffered. Limited on the day entries £40.00.

Welcome to the Scurry Around Devilla Forest summer of 2026 trail running festival. With a mixed terrain half marathon, 10km and 5km trail running option and a family 1.5km fun run. Over 1900 Acres of mainly Scots Pines - 4 secretive lochs - Red Squirrels - mixed terrain. Devilla Forest is situated North and East of Kincardine in the South East of Fife. The event hub is at Tulliallan police college, Tulliallan Castle, Kincardine, FK10 4BE. The half marathon, 10km and 5km will all follow 1 lap courses through and around the scenic Devilla forest starting and finishing in the scenic grounds of the Tulliallan police college. Scurry Events are hosting this event and aim to contribute towards the Kincardine Community Association SC049552 and engage in the local community to also support other local charities and groups. The runs are clearly marked and marshalled off road routes for everyone to enjoy. All half marathon,10km and 5km participants will receive a finishers medal and a race memento. Representation from Active Root, Tribe bars, Trailbreeze, Big Bobble Hats, and Up and Running and of course live race commentary from You Can Sport in the event hub throughout. Coull Beans will also have their coffee van and snacks onsite. The Tulliallan castle fun run will follow a 1.5km course around the college grounds. All proceeds of the 1.5km fun run will go as a charitable donation towards the event charities and additional support will aim to be passed on through volunteer marshals on the day. All fun run children entrants will receive a fun run finishers medal and snacks. We will look forward to seeing you there.
PROVISIONAL TIMINGS
Registration: Sunday 23rd of August 8.15am - 9.30am for the 1/2 marathon, 10km and 5km events in the main assembly hall building (and up to 11.15am for the 1.5km fun run).
9.15am: Half Marathon Runners make their way to the start line.
Half Marathon race start time at 9.30am / 10km race start time at 9.45am / 5km race start time at 9.50am / Prize Giving 12.00 noon / 1.5km Family fun run start time at 11.30am.
A contribution from the trail runs will go towards supporting the Scottish Police Benevolent Fund SC043489 and additional support to other local charities will aim to be passed on through volunteer marshals on the day. Clear route maps will be posted on our Facebook page two weeks prior and at the race registration.
