About the Event
The Scholars Run is the second event of the 2026 Healthy Blount Triple Crown of Running. Participants in all three 5K events are eligible for Triple Crown cash awards, door prizes, and a special memento. Even if you can't participate in all three, you can still win prizes by participating in the Reindeer Run and at least one other Triple Crown event. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Community Food Connection of Blount County.
Courses
- 5K Run: 3.1 Miles, includes area city streets.
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk: Entirely on the Maryville College campus.
- 5K Run Anywhere Virtual Event: 3.1 Miles.
- Wheelchair Athlete: 3.1 Miles.
- Sleeping but Supporting: N/A
Registration & Packages
Check-in: 6:45 AM - 7:30 AM on race day.
Pre-Race Package Pickup and Registration: Thursday before race day, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Dick's Sporting Goods, Hamilton Crossing, Alcoa, TN.
T-Shirts
All participants will receive a short-sleeved unisex shirt. Shirt size is guaranteed for pre-registered participants. Day-of registrants receive a shirt while supplies last.
Awards & Prizes
Awards ceremony on-site after the event. Awards for top three finishers in each age group, overall male/female, and Masters winners in the 5K. All Fun Run/Walk participants receive a participation gift. Unclaimed awards can be picked up at the Parks and Rec Office.
Age Divisions
Male and Female: 8 and under up to 75 and over. Includes Male and Female Masters (40 and older).
General Information
- No bicycles, roller blades, or dogs allowed on the course.
- Headset use is not recommended.
- Post-race refreshments will be provided.
