The Schneekopflauf is not for flatland runners – 12 and 22 kilometers full of adrenaline, sweat, and altitude await you. From start to finish, it's about pushing through, fighting your way up, and winning!

For Nordic walkers and hikers, the Schneekopfwanderung has been available since 2025. Get your medal at the most beautiful summit in Thuringia.

Registration Information:
Pre-registration is open from December 1, 2025, to June 25, 2026, 11:59 PM. Late registration is available online until June 30, 2026, 11:59 PM.
Fees:
- Schneekopfwanderung (11 km): 12 EUR (until 30.04.2026), 20 EUR (until 25.06.2026), 20 EUR + 8 EUR late fee (from 26.06.2026)
- Schneekopflauf (12.7 km): 16 EUR (until 30.04.2026), 22 EUR (until 25.06.2026), 22 EUR + 8 EUR late fee (from 26.06.2026)
- Schneekopflauf (22.2 km): 22 EUR (until 30.04.2026), 30 EUR (until 25.06.2026), 30 EUR + 8 EUR late fee (from 26.06.2026)
Important Notes:
- Changes between 12.7 km and 22.2 km incur a price difference payment. No refunds for downgrades.
- Starting slots are non-transferable.
- Cancellations are possible until April 30, 2026, 11:59 PM, with a 50% refund minus a 5 EUR processing fee.
