Sardon Run: Trail Running on the Karst between Sea and Stone
The Sardon Run is a trail running race held in August on the Trieste Coast, where the Karst plateau meets the Adriatic Sea and the border with Slovenia runs through the trenches of the Great War. Choose from five distances – from the 7K for everyone to the 71K Sardon Ultra Stage – on trails that traverse sheer cliffs, bilingual villages, pine forests fragrant with resin, and an underground landscape that hides Roman temples and fossilized dinosaurs. The start and finish line are at Isola del Villaggio del Pescatore, right by the sea.
Race Details:
- Sardonzin: 7 km · 74 D+ (Walk or run for the whole family, perfect with furry friends!)
- Sardon Trail: 17 km · 500 D+ (Speed and adventure in the perfect distance for a late summer evening!)
- Sardon Half Marathon: 22 km · 712 D+ (A challenge from sea to Karst, with trenches and breathtaking views)
