Saerbecker Triathlon 2026
The 44th Saerbecker Triathlon will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026, in Saerbeck.
Distances and Categories:
- Volkstriathlon (Saerbeck Classic): 700 m Swimming - 20 km Cycling - 5 km Running
- Kurzdistanz (Olympic Distance): 1,400 m Swimming - 40 km Cycling - 10 km Running
- Aquabike (part of Kurzdistanz): 1,400 m Swimming - 40 km Cycling
- Ligawettkämpfe: Oberliga Frauen (Sprint), Verbandsliga Nord (Sprint)
Start Fees:
- Volksdistanz: 40 € (including 2 € association fee)
- Kurzdistanz: 50 € (including 4 € association fee, mandatory race pass or day license: 21 €)
- Aquabike: 50 € (no race pass or day license required)

Course Details:
- Swimming: Open water in Saerbeck bathing lake. Volkstriathlon: 1 lap with turn. Kurzdistanz and Aquabike: 2 laps with a short transition on land.
- Cycling: Flat, partially closed course. Volkstriathlon: 1 lap. Kurzdistanz and Aquabike: 2 laps.
- Running: Expansive course around the bathing lake with a small incline. Volkstriathlon: 1 lap with turn. Kurzdistanz: 2 laps with turn.

Race Briefing:
A mandatory race briefing for all participants will be held 15 minutes before the start at the swim start.
Race Numbers:
Each participant receives a race number to be worn on the back during cycling and on the chest during running (bring elastic band). A self-adhesive bike number must be attached visibly to the top tube.
Competition Rules:
The event is approved by the NRWTV and conducted according to the current sports regulations of the German Triathlon Union.
