Sabinchenlauf am 13.06.2026
The Sabinchenlauf will take place in Treuenbrietzen on Saturday, June 13, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM in front of the Marienkirche. Since 2002, MTV Treuenbrietzen has organized a cross-country race as part of the Sabinchenfest, attracting up to 200 athletes annually.
The 14 km standard route is a circular course leading through the idyllic Zarth nature reserve. The Zarth is a lowland moor with dense bush and deciduous forests, meadows, and small streams, boasting unique flora and fauna, and is designated as a bird sanctuary. You can discover rare plants, trees, and animals, including marsh orchids and various bird species.
Afterward, you will run across fields to Bardenitz. Following the village traversal, the route leads back to Treuenbrietzen alongside a cycle path through the forest, returning to the familiar Hellberg. The course then proceeds through gardens to the start at the Marienkirche.
On 13.06.2026, with a start at 10:00 AM, the following routes are available (click the button to see the route map). The organization office opens at 8:30 AM.

Why Sabinchenlauf?
Sabinchen was a woman... So begins the 'world-famous' ballad about the loyal maid murdered by a shoemaker from Treuenbrietzen. Read this incredible story yourself or find it on the back of the certificate you can win at the Sabinchenlauf.
