Welcome to the official website of the axabio RupelRun – a sporting event where atmosphere, movement, and togetherness are central. Whether you are an experienced runner, a recreational jogger, or simply looking for a sporting challenge: the axabio RupelRun is the right place for you!
What is the RupelRun?
The RupelRun is an accessible and fun running and sports event in the heart of the Rupelstreek. We bring people together to move in a beautiful environment, along beautiful courses, and in a warm, motivating atmosphere. Sportiness, fun, and connection are our top priorities. The axabio RupelRun is for young and old, for fast runners but also for those who want to walk and enjoy an active day.
The axabio RupelRun is an organization of and by volunteers who selflessly commit to getting as many people moving and connected as possible. Thanks to the collaboration with and support from the municipality of Hemiksem, the Hemiksem sports council, and our sponsors, we can deliver a high-quality event at a democratic price. As is customary each year, the proceeds are donated to charity.
What are the options?
You can choose from different distances:
- 🏃♀️ 5, 10, or 15 kilometers running – each distance starts in a separate wave with a few minutes difference
- 👟 5 or 10 kilometers walking – walkers start together with the runners of the same distance. (15km walking is unfortunately not possible)
- 🏃 Kidsrun (in 3 different age categories) – especially for our youngest athletes
In addition, we provide:
- Clear signage and safe courses
- Refreshments along the way
- A cozy start and finish area
- Entertainment and atmosphere for supporters

Thanks to your participation, you support a good cause. The entire profit of the axabio RupelRun 2026 will be donated to organizations that support people in poverty, animals in need, or important research. Together we make a difference, thank you for your support!
