Run for the Pumpkin 2026
The Run for the Pumpkin XC will take place September 26th, 2026, offering a 2K and a 4K. Organized by Kodiaks Cross-Country Running and the indoor Track Team, this event promises a great day of XC!
Course Details
The NEW COURSE for 2026 starts and finishes south of Nicholas Sheran School. The course is entirely on grass, so spikes may be worn. Distances are 2K (1 lap) and 4K (2 laps). There will be a separate start line and a separate finish line, with a mass start for each distance.
Awards, Age Categories, Results
All age categories are based on age as of December 31, 2026.
- 2K Categories: 6 & Under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15+
- 4K Categories: 13 & Under, 14-15, 16-17, 18-19, 20-34, 35+
Ribbons will be awarded to the 1st place finisher in each age category for both male and female divisions. Results, Finisher Certificates, and Award Certificates will be posted online.

High School XC Team 4K Invitational
A High School XC Team 4K invitational challenge is held in conjunction with the regular 4K. Teams must have a minimum of 4 males and/or 4 females. The challenge is based on the best aggregate times of the 4 fastest runners of each team by gender.
Package Pick-Up
Pickup will take place Friday, September 25th, from 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM at Runners Soul (2646 South Parkside Dr, Lethbridge, AB T1K 0C4). Alternate pickup is at the Fit Physio Clinic Parking Lot on Friday, September 25th, from 10 AM to 8 PM. NO RACE DAY PICKUPS or Registrations.
Registration
Entry fees are $26.50 (processing fee included). Shirts are optional and cost $15.50 each. The early entry and shirt cutoff is September 14th at 11:59 PM. After that, the fee remains $26.50, and no shirt will be included. Entries will CLOSE on September 24th at 11:59 PM. Payment methods are online only with Visa, MC Credit Cards, or PayPal (e-transfer upon request).
