About Rostock
The over 800-year-old Hanseatic and University City of Rostock is known far beyond the Baltic Sea region, not least for its university. Over 200,000 people live in the city, whose appearance has changed again and again. The Hanseatic city of Rostock wants to apply to host the Olympic sailing competitions in 2036, 2040, or 2044. Under the motto "Vereint Segel setzen" (Setting Sails Together), many clubs, companies, and people are committed to this. Rostocker Citylauf e.V. and the PRO EVENT team support this initiative.
