Rosengarten Schlern Sky Marathon

- Sky Trail: 36 km (approx. 1,908m ascent, 1,935m descent)
- Sky Run: 16 km (approx. 770m ascent, 900m descent)
The Rosengarten Schlern Sky Marathon is an alpine marathon winding around the Catinaccio Group. Starting in Tiers / S. Cipriano at approximately 1,100m above sea level, the highest point is Passo Principe at 2,610 meters. This event takes place in a unique setting in the heart of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and is a must-do for nature and running enthusiasts with the necessary athletic preparation.
Course Details:
- Sky Marathon 46 km: Starts at 7:00 AM. Features 2,980m of ascent and 3,083m of descent. The route circles the Catinaccio Group, leads to the Sciliar plateau, and returns to Tires. Due to its length and elevation, athletic preparation and a lack of fear of heights are essential. The name "Sky Marathon" reflects its length and alpine characteristics at altitudes above 2,000 meters.
- Sky Trail 36 km: Starts at 7:00 AM. Features 1,908m of ascent and 1,935m of descent. This route also winds around the Catinaccio Group to Passo Principe and then descends through the Ciamin valley, Lavina Bianca, and Oberstraße to the village of Tires.
- Sky Run 16 km: Starts at 9:00 AM. Features 770m of ascent and 900m of descent. This course (max. 100 athletes) completes a loop in the Ciamin valley to Rechten Leger and returns to Tires via Wuhn Leger and S. Sebastian.
Maximum time limit for all races: 10 hours.
