Welcome to the 11th Annual River Day Races!
Presented by French Creek Racing, this event offers a variety of swimming and multisport challenges. Please use the GPS address 1400 S. Trooper Rd., Norristown, PA 19403 for parking. From the lot, follow the asphalt path toward the river, turn left, and walk downstream until you see the launch area.
Races include:
- 5K Open Water Swim
- 1 Mile Open Water Swim
- 800 Meter Open Water Swim
- SwimRun (800m Swim, 5K Run, 800m Swim)
- 5K Relay (3x1mi)
Event Schedule:
- Saturday, August 8th
- 9:00 AM - 5K Swim & Relay start
- 11:00 AM - 1 Mile Swim start
- 11:40 AM - SwimRunSwim start
- 11:45 AM - 800m Swim start
Awards & Facilities:
Custom overall and age group awards will be given to the top 3 M/F in each classification. There are no restroom or changing facilities onsite. The nearest restroom is at the Betzwood trailhead parking lot.
Race Details:
- 5K Swim: Cutoff 3 hours. Course is 3 loops. No hydration stop provided. Swimmers may place their own nutrition near start/finish and at 1&2 mile marks. Escort kayaker and individual nutrition strongly encouraged for those expecting to finish over 2 hours.
- 1 Mile Swim: Cutoff 1 hour. Course is 1 loop. No nutrition/hydration stops. Escort kayaker optional.
- 800 Meter Swim: Cutoff 30 minutes. Course is 1 loop. No nutrition/hydration stops.
- SwimRun: All racers must complete by 1:00 PM. Format: 800m swim, 5K run, 800m swim. Small transition area available. Aid station near swim exit for runners.

Wetsuit Policy:
Based on USAT Wetsuit rule. Wetsuits prohibited if water temperature exceeds 84ºF. Competitors wearing wetsuits will not be in official results if water temperature is above 78ºF.
Inclement Weather Policy:
Races are held rain or shine. Postponement due to lightning or water quality. Decision made 3 hours prior to the first heat. Updates via email and Facebook. Flexibility is appreciated due to river conditions.
Refund Policy:
No refunds. Transfers available if requested at least 7 days in advance. Deferrals offered in case of race cancellation due to weather.
