Ascutney Outdoors, 449 Ski Tow Rd, Brownsville, VT 05037, USAGet full directionsARRIVAL PROCESSWe get it—arrival isn’t exactly the highlight of your weekend, we appreciate your patience as we herd thousands of awesome humans in. There’s plenty of room to park and pitch your tent, but we need your teamwork to keep gear drop and parking running smoothly—because nobody likes a traffic jam when you’re this close to the fun!Heads up: No arrivals before 4 PM on Thursday—early birds will get sent back to town (no camping in the parking lot, sorry!). Try to keep your team to 2 cars. It’s better for the planet—and way easier than playing car Tetris at arrival and departure! As you arrive, follow the signs that lead you to "Gear Drop" and "Parking." Volunteers will direct you to where you can park and unload.DEPARTURE PROCESSAfter an epic weekend of dirt, sweat, and glory, it’s time to head home like the trail legends you are. For a smooth exit, follow these steps:Clean Up Your CampsiteLeave no trace (except good memories). Use the trash and recycling bags from check-in and toss waste in the right bins—help us help Mother Nature and our clean-up crew.Pack Up & Head to Gear DropBring all your gear to the Gear Drop before grabbing your car. If you’re lucky enough to be parked nearby, feel free to skip the drop and go straight to your vehicle.Load Up at Gear DropOnce you’ve got your car, swing back to Gear Drop and load up. But don’t roll in early—no parking, no lingering, no camping out in the driver’s seat. Think airport drop-off... but with more mud.Event day logistics

CELL SERVICEMt. Ascutney has very limited cell service—only AT&T works reliably. Verizon has no service in the Village and limited coverage higher on the trails; other carriers are spotty. If you don’t have AT&T, plan ahead by identifying teammates who do in case you need outside communication. Make arrangements in advance, such as setting meeting points, bringing two-way radios, or finding alternative ways to stay in touch.CUPLESS EVENTSingle-use containers are not provided for water on course or for coffee/hot cocoa in the Village. Bring your own reusable hot and cold containers or purchase one at the Ragnar Gear Store.TEAM START TIMESTeam Start Times have been assigned: CLICK HERE to view them. Teams with at least 75% of runners' 10K road paces saved have been assigned times. Remaining teams will receive theirs once they meet this requirement, but no later than July 2nd, when all start times become final with no further changes allowed.RUNNER & TEAM CHECK-INPre-Race Online Check in: All runners must check in online before race day—no exceptions! Watch for the email the week before (and check your spam). Each runner must watch the safety video and complete their own check-in. The whole team must be done before the captain can confirm the roster. Online check-in closes at 5PM MT the day before the race (Thursday for a Fri–Sat race). Miss it? You’ll need to check in at the race at HQ tent, which means longer lines. Roster changes and late additions also check in at the HQ tent. So save yourself the hassle—check in early and keep it easy!Race Day Check in: Know your team number before arriving—it’ll be your golden ticket for parking and check-in. You can check in at the race during the hours the Ragnar Village is open (See Event Schedule above). Head to the HQ tent to check your team in and you will get: your team bib (also the timing chip), a bib belt, your volunteer shift reminder, all team shirts (based on sizes entered before the team name change deadline), a trash and recycle liner for camp, three slap bracelets (one per loop), and a team goodie bag.TEAM VOLUTNEER REQUIREMENTAll Standard Relay teams must cover one 3-hour volunteer shift or pay $120 for Ragnar to provide a volunteer. For full details, see the Trail Team Volunteer Info.To choose your team's volunteer shift CLICK HERE.To make a payment in lieu of a volunteer CLICK HERETo see your team's volunteer status CLICK HEREGEAR DROPParking is near the campsite for easy loading and unloading. For those who can’t park close, use the Gear Drop—a designated area for active unloading only. No parking, no leaving vehicles unattended, and no lingering (just like at the airport). Drivers have a couple of minutes to drop off gear and passengers before moving to designated parking. After parking, they may return to help move gear to the campsite.CAMPINGCamping’s allowed Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights—but heads up, the Village gets torn down Saturday night (toilets stay open, so don’t panic). Campsites aren’t assigned, mostly gravel, and your team should stick to a 20’x20’ footprint—because nobody wants a cramped, cranky campground.Plan your general camping spot before arrival, especially if your crew rolls in at different times or lacks AT&T (see cell service notes).VENUE & CAMPSITE RULESTAKE NOTHING Take nothing but photos. Leave natural or historic objects as you find themLEAVE NOTHING Leave nothing but footprints. No littering.NO DOGS No dogs on the course, at the campsite, in the Village, or at the event. We love dogs too, but this is a safety issue for participants and for the dogs. Service dogs (not ESA) are allowed, but they must remain on a leash at all times.NO GENERATORS No generators are allowed in the campsite, village, or on course.NO DRONES Non-official use of drones is prohibited without special approval.NO CAMPFIRES Propane cooking stoves are permitted, but no open flame campfires/firepits.
