Race The Night Towcester 2026
Date: Saturday 13 June 2026
Location: Towcester Racecourse, Northamptonshire
Race The Night Towcester is a brand-new endurance running event set on the historic former horse racing track. This fast, closed-loop course is built for endurance, strategy, and atmosphere.
The challenge is simple: run as many laps as you can in 4 hours, between 6:30 PM and 10:30 PM. How you do it is up to you. Race solo, pair up as a duo, or bring a team of 4, and take on one of the most exciting new endurance and relay races in Northamptonshire.
As daylight fades, the energy rises. Expect lights, music, live results, street food, and a race village that feels more like a festival than a traditional running event. This is endurance racing reimagined…and it doesn’t end at 10:30 PM! Join us at the After-Party until 12:30 AM!
The Endurance Challenge
Time: 6:30 PM - 10:30 PM
You have 4 hours on the clock to complete as many 2.7 km laps as possible. You can:
- Run continuously
- Take short breaks between laps
- Step off course to refuel and recover
- Switch runners if you’re racing as a duo or team
There’s no set distance, no pressure to stop, and no requirement to run non-stop. Strategy is everything: pace it, push it, or play the long game. Winners in each category are crowned based purely on total laps completed.
How to Run?
- Solo Endurance: Take on the full 4 hours yourself and see how far you can go. Perfect for experienced endurance runners and anyone looking for a serious personal challenge.
- Duo Endurance Relay (Team of 2): Race as a duo and split the effort. One runner on course at a time, swapping whenever you choose. Ideal for friends, training partners, or clubmates.
- Team Endurance Relay (Teams of 4): Build a team, plan your strategy and chase laps together. This is a true relay format, with only one team member on the course at any one time. Expect tactics, fast changeovers, and serious team energy.
