The 10k uses a single-lap coastal route. The start is within Beach House Grounds adjacent to Beach House West Car Park and Worthing Promenade. The course heads west along the seafront towards Goring Gap, following Marine Parade along the promenade, and finishes back on Beach House Grounds. The surface is a mixture of hardstanding ground and grass.
Participants should bring their own filled water bottle because no bottled water will be provided. There is a water refill station about halfway on the course and a Scottish Power water refill station at the finish. Events are chip-timed.
On-site facilities listed as available include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are allowed, the route is suitable for pushchairs, and the event is wheelchair accessible with assistance. People with visual impairments may take part with a guide. Sunflower wristbands and British Sign Language stage content via QR code are provided to support accessibility. Bag drop and showers are not available.
Travel options include limited parking adjacent to the grounds, several public car parks within about a 10 minute walk, nearby bus stops a short walk away, and Worthing train station about a 20 minute walk from the site. Life is worth Racing for. Enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
Race for Life 10k is a more challenging event, but without any pressure. Take it at your own pace and enjoy the atmosphere, or push yourself a little more. The events are chip-timed, so you can find out if you’ve beaten your personal best! Sign up as a group with friends and family, or go solo and join hundreds of people on the day. However you take part, you’re helping to beat cancer.

Pedestrians: You can enter Beach House Grounds from Splashpoint Leisure Centre, we would advise against entering via Beach House West Car Park - the event site is located north of the Splash Pad At The Gap.
By car: General Event Parking: There is limited parking at the car park adjacent to Beach House Grounds; however, there are several public car parks within approx. 10 minutes’ walk: Montague Quarter Car Park, High Street Multi-Storey, NCP Car Park Worthing Union Place. Blue Badge Parking: There are spaces available within Beach House West Car Park directly opposite the event site. Drop Offs: There is no designated drop off point.
Public Transport: Yes, there is public transport available to this event. Bus: Coastliner 700 – Number 9 and PULSE Route - all stop a 2 minute walk from the event site within Beach House Grounds. Train: Southern into Worthing Station - please be aware this is a 20 minute walk to the event site. Electric Charging Points: BP Pulse Charging Station, High St, Worthing, BN11 1NY - approx. 0.3 miles from Beach House Grounds. Cycling & Bike Racks: There are bike racks located at Splashpoint Leisure Centre directly opposite the event site.

This event is wheelchair accessible with assistance. The event site and course will be on a mixture of Hardstanding Ground and Grass - the course follows the seafront for 10km and loops back on itself. People with visual impairments are welcome to take part with a guide. We aim for maximum accessibility at our events. Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, and our Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends.
