Exeter Pretty Muddy 5k - Westpoint, Exeter (18 July 2026)
The Exeter Pretty Muddy 5k is an obstacle event that raises money for cancer research. The course asks participants to climb, crawl and slide around a 5 km route while carrying a fundraising target of £50. Adult and child entry prices are listed.
The start and finish are on a tarmac path on the showground. The route follows paths and fields around the showground and uses a mix of road, tarmac pathways and grass. Obstacles are placed along the course and marshals are available to assist participants who need to skip an obstacle.
Practical details include staggered wave starts every 15 minutes to manage safety on the course, and a minimum age of 13 years to take part in this event. There are separate Pretty Muddy Kids events for younger children aged 12 and under. Meeting point and stage announcements are within the grounds of Westpoint Arena.
Facilities and travel notes: car parking is available within Westpoint and a drop off point and Blue Badge parking are provided. There are no electric charging points, bike racks or showers. Refreshments and toilets are available on site. The event is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for pushchairs. Dogs, bag drop and showers are not available.

Public transport and pedestrians:
Pedestrians: Pedestrian access to Westpoint from the A3052 is through the Orange Gate of Westpoint Arena.
Bus: The number 9 or 52 bus from Exeter city centre runs approximately every hour on Sundays. The journey time is around 20 minutes and Westpoint is a request stop. For more information please visit www.stagecoachbus.com.
Train: The closest train station Exeter St David’s and is 6 miles from the venue.

Accessibility
Due to the nature of the event it is not suitable for wheelchair users.
We aim for maximum accessibility at our events. Our contact centre and on-site team are ready to assist with any needs or questions you may have.
Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, and our Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends.
A QR code will be available on the main event site to access British Sign Language stage content for those who use BSL.
How Pretty Muddy® works
Pretty Muddy® events start times are staggered in 'waves', each wave starts every 15 minutes to ensure you're safe on the course. If you're signed up as a group, please make sure you sign up for the same wave time.
Climb, crawl and slide your way around the course at your own pace. We want you to tackle every obstacle the best you can, but if you need to skip to the next one our marshals will be on hand to assist. Find out more about Pretty Muddy® obstacles.
