Race for Life Glasgow at Glasgow Green
Race for Life Glasgow is a city running event organised by Cancer Research UK and based at Glasgow Green, Greendyke Street, Glasgow G40 1AT. The course runs through central Glasgow streets including Saltmarket, Trongate, past George Square, along Buchanan Street and onto the Clydeside. The route is relatively flat and mixes tarmac and hardstanding surfaces. Planned road works in the city centre may cause route changes.

The event site has refreshments, toilets, and space suitable for pushchairs. Dogs are allowed and the site is wheelchair accessible with assistance. The start and finish areas are on hardstanding paths; the main event area is on grass and may become soft in wet weather. The course includes a decline on Buchanan Street that may require additional assistance and a merge point on Clyde Street that could cause congestion.
There is no official event car park and city centre road closures will affect travel. Blue Badge parking is available on Charlotte Street, approximately a two minute walk from the site. Nearest train stations include High Street, Argyle Street, Queens Street and Central Station.
The published minimum fundraising target is £50. Entry fees listed for earlybird places are £8.74 for ages 16 and over and £5.50 for children. Course Information:
The Glasgow course starts in Glasgow Green and heads up Saltmarket, along Trongate, past the iconic George Square, before reaching the bustling Buchanan Street and down onto the Clydeside. The route is relatively flat and offers participants the opportunity to take in some of Glasgow’s beautiful architecture whilst soaking up the amazing atmosphere. The single lap 10k offers a unique and memorable experience of the city on a Sunday morning.

Travel Information:
By car: There is no official car park for this event. Due to the event taking place on roads, there are a large number of road closures in and around the city centre from 6am onwards. Participants are requested to use city centre parking. Blue Badge parking is available on Charlotte Street.
Public transport and pedestrians: All entrances of Glasgow Green will be open for the event. The closest to the start line, are those on Greendyke Street. Bus services will be disrupted. The nearest train stations are High Street, Argyle Street, Queens Street and Central Station.
