Race for Life Aylesbury 5k
This is a 5k running event held at Waddesdon Manor, Silk Street, Waddesdon HP18 0JH. The start and finish are on a grass field next to the main visitor car park, behind the visitor centre. The majority of the route is on tarmac with a short section of dense gravel at the front of the manor.
The course features a sustained ascent during the first 1.8 km, with around 55 m of elevation gain over that distance. The ground at the event site is described as flat and firm underfoot, but it may become soft or muddy in wet weather.
Travel and parking arrangements use the manor's main visitor car park. Free parking is available there, with drop off areas and a small number of electric vehicle charging spaces suitable for 16A Type 2 plugs. Blue Badge parking is provided in the main car park, approximately 100 to 200 m from the event site. Public transport links are limited; the Red Rose No. 16 bus serves Waddesdon village and the nearest train station is Aylesbury Vale Parkway. A section of the Waddesdon Greenway is currently closed.
Available on site are refreshments, toilets, bike racks, permission for dogs, suitability for pushchairs and wheelchair access with assistance. Bag drop and showers are not available.
