Are you brave enough to take the plunge? Celebrate a new year and new beginnings with us!
The Polar Plunge is the ONE day out of the entire year we allow the public to swim in Lula Lake. It's a tradition to bring good luck in the year to come!
Event Timeline
- Gates open at 9:45 AM ET
- Check-in starts at 10:00 AM ET
- Fun Run starts at 10:30 AM ET
- The plunge begins at 11:00 AM ET
What to Bring
Prepare for the cold! Bring warm clothes, blankets, towels, and anything else you may need to stay warm after the plunge. Do not underprepare!
Course Information
Enjoy a scenic 3-mile fun run leading to the plunge site. If you do not want to run, you can also walk the 0.75-mile path to the lake.
Spectator Information
Spectators are welcome to come along! They must be in a vehicle with a ticket buyer and will also walk the path to the plunge site.
Safety Information
Safety kayakers will be present in the water. Lifejackets are required for children under 13. Be prepared for the shock of the cold water!
