Ochil Ultra 2026
Entries for the 2026 Ochil Ultra are now open. The event features the 9th running of the Ochil Ultra (50 mile and 30 mile) and the 4th Ochil 100.
Courses:
- Ochil Ultra 50 Miles: From sportscotland institute of sport, Stirling to Perth Fitness Studios, Perth. This is a qualifying ultra for the West Highland Way Race.
- Ochil Ultra 30 Miles: From Auchterarder to Perth Fitness Studios. A great distance for first-time ultra runners.
- Ochil 100 Miles: Perth to Stirling and back. Limited entry with qualification required.
The event welcomes runners of all backgrounds and genders, being an LGBTQIA+ friendly event. Participants can run solo or as a team for the 50-mile event.
Both routes utilize the Core Path Network, offering stunning views across central Scotland.
Event Details:
- End to End on the Ochils
- Marked Route
- Water at checkpoints
- Drop-off bags conveyed to checkpoints (approx every 10 miles)
- Chip Timing from KitST
- GPS Tracking from Geo Tracks
- Starts: Stirling (Long Ultra) at 7am, Auchterarder (Short Ultra) at 9.30am.
- Finish: Perth Fitness Studios, Inveralmond, Perth. Courses close at 10pm.
- Registration: Stirling (6am Long), Auchterarder (8.30am Short).
- Bus to Start: Available from Perth Fitness Studios (£10 additional charge).
- Prizes: For 1st Male/Female/NB in 50 miles and 30 miles, and 1st Team.
- Medals: For all finishers.
- Finish Area Services: Food, refreshments, toilets, sports massage, professional photography.

Entries for 2026 will close on 22nd August.
Cut Offs:
Generous cut-offs are in place. Safety is the number one priority. A diversion route avoids the final hill if specific times are not met at a diversion point.
Qualification for Ochil 100: Prior completion of a 50-mile or longer ultra within twelve hours is required. Entrants must have a support crew.
Compulsory Kit: Head torch, whistle, mobile phone, emergency blanket, emergency food and drink, and the issued GPS tracker.
