MTC Angelystor
The Mount to Coast Angelystor returns in 2028 for its 2nd Edition. This single-day ultra challenge covers approximately 37.6 miles, following the scenic National Cycle Route 8 from Holyhead to Caernarfon. It is also Day 1 of the six-day CYMRUN end-to-end challenge of Wales.
Entries are limited to 20 race-only competitors plus an additional 20 CYMRUN competitors. Organizers provide route maps and GPX files via email approximately four weeks before the event, and participants receive a tracking device with an SOS function.
Cut-off times are enforced, based on a minimum average speed of 4.0 mph. The race is cup-free; runners must bring a reusable cup. Mandatory kit includes a backpack, head torch, maps, compass or GPS, whistle, mobile phone, basic first aid, emergency food, and a waterproof map case.
All finishers receive a bespoke race medal. An optional upgrade at checkout includes the official race t-shirt and hi-vis jacket.
