Join us for the 14th anniversary of this special event in memory of Doug Williams who was a graduate of Montclair High School and a beloved member of the Essex Running Club when he was killed by a hit and run driver on Upper Mountain Ave in October 2011.
Doug would have been 63 years old on May 22 2025. All proceeds from the event go towards the memorial scholarships awarded every year in Doug’s honor to recognize two deserving college-bound seniors at Montclair High School who have been outstanding in track and cross country while demonstrating academic excellence, leadership, and community service.
This is not a timed event and the roads will be open to traffic. The cost is only $10 per person to register or you can make a donation to support the scholarship. Everyone who registers or makes a donation will be entered in a raffle for a $50 Fleet Feet gift card. There is a special 8 mile memorial route passing by several landmarks in remembrance of Doug or two shorter routes (5K and 10K).
Maps and directions will be available on the day of the event. Water and Gatorade will be available on the 8 mile and 10K routes at the corner of Park St and Mt Hebron Rd. There will be some light refreshments back at Fleet Feet after the run.
