Moel Famau Halloween 'Piece of String' Night Race
Moel Famau Halloween 'Piece of String' Night Race is a night trail event at Bwlch Penbarras on 24 October 2026. The event uses a surprise route format called "Piece of String" in which the distance and exact route are not revealed until the race unfolds.
The organiser will announce when there is 1 km to go to the finish. Runners are asked to bring a head torch for running under the stars. The route will be between 6 and 12 Kilometers in length, will be well marked, and includes uphill sections. There is no speed requirement or time limit.
The atmosphere is described by the organiser as friendly and inclusive. There will be a kit requirement, and we'll communicate this nearer the time based on the weather conditions.
