The Mike Collingwood Memorial Triathlon
In July of 1983, the first triathlon at Meech Lake took place. Mike Collingwood continued organizing the event through 2006 until his untimely passing in December 2006. In honor of Mike's dedication to this event, it's been renamed to The Mike Collingwood Memorial Triathlon, starting in 2007.
The race offers challenging Gatineau Park hills on the bike course and a scenic run course through the National Park. The calm, clear water at Meech Lake is ideal for the swim.
Participants love the course and the amenities included with registration, such as professional timing, a personalized race bib, a Somersault swim cap, on-course nutrition, race photography, podium prizes, and post-race snacks.
