Malvern Midsummer Marathon
The Malvern Midsummer Marathon takes place on Saturday 20 June 2026 with headquarters at Colwall Village Hall, Mill Ln, Malvern WR13 6EQ. The event is organised by LDWA - Heart Of England and uses routes around the Malvern Hills.
Distances offered:
- 27 miles - All the Malvern Hills, approximately 5000 ft of ascent, tracks and paths, 4 checkpoints.
- 15 miles - End Hills to Black Hill, significant climb but less overall ascent, 2 checkpoints.
Both routes pass through Cradley, Mathon, Colwall and Evendine. The longer route also includes Oyster Hill, Ledbury and Bromsberrow and follows the main ridge from British Camp after the northern Malverns. The course is run clockwise with a common first half before the routes separate.
Checkpoints provide a variety of snacks and drinks. A hot meal and pudding are available at the finish; participants should bring their own mug because none will be supplied at checkpoints or the finish. Certificates and badges are presented to all who return to HQ.
Entries opened 31 October 2025 and closed 12 June 2026. The event is currently full; new entries are placed on a waiting list.

- 27ml runners: 9:00 am
- 15ml walkers: 9:15 am
- 15ml runners: 9:30 am
Finish by 20:00. Hall to be cleared by 20:30.
Note: No dogs are allowed on the challenge. Participants must bring their own mug.
