The first Leuven Marathon was a great success, building on the previous year's European Running Championships. It exceeded expectations with 17,900 participants and was a joyous celebration for the city and its supporters. The race offered excellent running conditions on April 19, 2026, with a sunny morning for the start of the 10k and marathon. There were 3300 marathon runners and 5700 starters for the 10K. The marathon route includes a scenic green loop towards the Brabantse Wouden. With DJs, entertainment, and a weekend full of activities, the Leuven Marathon is more than just a race.
