LET’S GET MOVING EVENT & 5K (4th Annual)
Come join us on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Harris Road Middle School in Concord, NC for this great inclusive event for people of ALL ABILITIES! Let’s Get Moving for a great event and get all bodies in motion. Proceeds support the work of KennedyStrong Foundation. Event is RAIN or SHINE.
Register by Friday, September 4th to be guaranteed a shirt. All supplies after this date are first come first serve.
Schedule:
- 8:00 a.m. - event site opens
- 8:00 a.m. - Race Day Packet Pickup opens
- 9:00 a.m. - Buddy Run starts
- 9:30 a.m. - 5K starts
- 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. - Decathlon Activity Adventure course open as an alternative to the run/walk events
There will be a DJ and activities for all. Virtual 5K is available for those who cannot attend in person but want to participate where they are. Virtual Runners will not be eligible for awards.
Awards:
5K awards will be given to overall top 3 male and female and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 10 & under, 11-15, 15-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61 -70, and 71 and up.
Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the Decathlon and the top three male and female Fun Run finishers.
Finisher Medals & Swag:
5k runners and registered Buddy Run and Decathlon participants will receive finisher medals, a bag, shirt, and giveaway items.
Packet Pick Up:
- Thursday, September 17th at the West Cabarrus YMCA in Afton Village from 6pm to 8pm.
Parking:
Parking is available onsite at Harris Road Middle School. The address is 1251 Patriots Pride Blvd, Concord, NC 28027. Those with special needs can receive a parking pass at packet pickup. Click here for Google Maps: Harris Road Middle School
