Lake Tye Challenge
Date: Saturday, May 30, 2026
Location: Lake Tye, 14964 Fryelands Blvd, Monroe, WA
Event Details: The Lake Tye Challenge offers timed ultramarathon races of 12 hours, 6 hours, and 3 hours on a 1.75-mile loop trail around Lake Tye. Participants run as many laps as possible within their chosen timeframe. Results are based on total completed distance; partial laps do not count.
Aid Station: A full aid station is provided at the start/finish of each lap with water, electrolyte drink, and energy-rich food. Personal drop bags/canopies are permitted on the grass lawn at the start/finish area (must be weighted down, no spikes).
Amenities: Direct beach access is available for cooling down during or after the race.
Fundraiser: This event is a fundraiser for local charities, including the Wild Sky Community Trails Association.
Timeline of Events (May 30, 2026):
- 4:30 am: BIB pick-up opens, restrooms open
- 5:00 am: Start of 12 hrs race
- 11:00 am: Start of 6 hrs race
- 2:00 pm: Start of 3 hrs race
- 5:00 pm: End of all races, post-race food, awards ceremony
Participant Swag: Each participant receives a wooden medal/coaster. Distances for half marathon (8 laps), marathon (16 laps), 50k (19 laps), 50 miles (30 laps), or 100k (37 laps) will be indicated on the medal if achieved.
