About the race
The Kusterdinger Hornissenlauf is a scenic race for runners, by runners, with timing and a family atmosphere. The race is supported by the municipality of Kusterdingen and Volksbank in der Region eG.
The challenging 10-kilometer course features paved forest paths. The student and hobby runs take place on a section of this course.

- Nordic Walking: Approx. 10 kilometers - Start: 8:55 AM
- Student/Youth Run: Approx. 1.8 kilometers - Start: 9:05 AM
- Children's Run: Approx. 0.8 kilometers - Start: 9:35 AM
- Main Run: Approx. 10 kilometers - Start: 9:30 AM
- Hobby Run: Approx. 5.5 kilometers - Start: 9:45 AM
Registration
Pre-registration is possible until Tuesday, July 21, 2026, 12:00 PM. Online late registration is available from July 21, 12:01 PM to July 25, 12:00 AM. Late registration fee: €3.00 per registration. Further late registrations are possible on the day of the event up to 30 minutes before the respective start. Late registration fee: €3.00 per registration.
Awards
- Main Run: The first male and female overall finishers receive an honorary prize. The top three male and female in each age group receive a certificate and an award.
- Student, Youth, and Children's Run: The top male and female in each age group receive an award. All participants receive a medal and a certificate.
- Hobby Run: All participants receive a medal and a certificate – no placement ranking.
- Nordic Walking: All participants receive a certificate. Additionally, the three male and female participants closest to the average time of all participants receive an award.
Award Ceremony
The award ceremony will take place from 11:00 AM in the Turn- und Festhalle.

Timing, results, and live results are provided by Race Result.
Facilities
Bib pickup, changing rooms, showers, start, and finish are at the Sportgelände TSV Kusterdingen, Turn- und Festhalle, Jahnstraße.
Restrictions
Baby joggers, support bikes, and dogs are not allowed. The course is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
