JONESY'S RUN
JONESY'S RUN takes place at Lakewood Park South in Tecumseh, Ontario on June 27, 2026. The event features a main 5 km route around the park and shorter races for children. Proceeds benefit The ALS Society of Windsor-Essex County to assist people living with ALS and to support research.
The 5 km course is three full laps of the park's paved outer trail. Because the trail is narrow, runners and walkers start at different times and strollers, baby joggers and pets are not permitted. Electronic chip timing will be used, a follow-up bicycle will accompany the last participant, and a display clock will be at the start/finish. Water stations with volunteers are provided along the course.
Only the first 300 registered participants will receive a finishers medal and a limited edition T-shirt; race day entrants may not receive the correct size. Race packet pickup is available at the store listed by the organizer and there is last minute packet pickup and registration on site on race day; race day registration is cash only. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers and to first place in each age category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
