Ingleton Three Counties Fell Race
Experience a technical fell race through Yorkshire, Lancashire, and Cumbria. This 31 km route features steep climbs and open fell navigation for experienced runners seeking a high-level mountain challenge in the Dales.
The Ingleton Three Counties Fell Race starts and finishes in the village of Ingleton. The course follows a logical route around the watershed of two rivers, crossing through three different counties. Participants begin in Yorkshire, visit the highest point in Lancashire, enter Cumbria, and return to Yorkshire. The race covers a distance of 31.1 km with a total ascent of 1580 m.
The route traverses technical terrain and familiar landmarks. Participants run from Mealbank Hall toward Kingsdale, navigating rough open fell to reach Gragareth and the ridge at Green Hill. After crossing into Cumbria, the path involves a steep climb to the Whernside trigpoint followed by a descent to Ribblehead. The final sections take runners across Park Fell and Ingleborough before returning to the village.
