Halloween Running Event – Leeds to Liverpool Canal (Kirkstall)
Looking for a Halloween running event in Leeds that’s spooky, fun, and perfect for all abilities? Join us for one of Yorkshire’s most loved themed races! With eight different distances available, from 1 mile to ultra-marathon, there’s something for everyone – whether you’re a beginner or chasing a PB.

Distances & Start Times
Our races are fully Trail Running Association licensed and take place on the beautiful Leeds to Liverpool Canal (Kirkstall) – a flat, scenic out-and-back route ideal for beginners and experienced runners alike.
- 10K – 10:00am start
- 10 Miler – 8:30am start
- Half Marathon – 9:00am start
- 20 Miler (2 x 10 mile laps) – 8:30am start
- Marathon (2 x half marathon laps) – 8:30am start
- Ultra Marathon – 8:30am start
- Ghostly 1 Mile Fun Run – 4:30pm start (perfect for kids & families!)

Getting Here
- By Train: The nearest station is Headingley (Northern Rail Service).
- By Car: No parking at start/finish. We recommend using Morrisons car park nearby. Car sharing is strongly encouraged.

Registration opens at 8am – please allow at least 1 hour to park, register, and get ready.
Important Information
- Cup-less event: Bring your own reusable bottle/cup.
- Headphones: For safety, no over-ear headphones allowed. Bone-conducting or one-in-one-out earbuds only.
- Road crossings: Some are unmanned – please take care.
- Transfers/Deferrals: Available online via our website or Avoid last-minute changes on race day.
- Safety: If you’re injured or need to stop, notify the nearest marshal immediately.
