Hitchin 10K
Welcome to The Hitchin 10km, which also incorporates the Herts County Senior Championships. This race is unique because it is the only 10km in the known region that starts and finishes in a market square, giving this race a unique feel in that you are running amongst a historic setting with a cosmopolitan feel to it.
The route itself is a beautiful one. It starts right in the town centre, with the first kilometre (the north loop) being on closed roads that go anti-clockwise around town. You then head out towards the Gosmore and Charlton villages to complete a clockwise south loop, before heading back into Hitchin. You complete another 1km loop that you started on, and then that all famous Town Centre finish.
