Hexenstieg-Ultramarathon 2027
The 2. Hexenstieg-Ultramarathon will be held on April 17-18, 2027, covering a distance of 100 kilometers. The race starts in Osterode am Harz and finishes in Thale, passing over the Brocken. It is open to extreme hikers and runners.

Start: Saturday, April 17, 2027 / 08:00 in Osterode
Finish Deadline: Sunday, April 18, 2027 / 14:00 in Thale
Total Time Limit: 30 hours
Entry Fees (Solo):
- Until March 15, 2027: 100km = €95,-
- Until April 03, 2027: 100km = €115,- (no guarantee of T-shirt and medal)
Entry Fees (2-person Relay):
- Until March 15, 2027: 100km = €155,-
- Until April 03, 2027: 100km = €195,- (no guarantee of T-shirt and medal)
The relay exchange point is VP 3 "Drei Annen Hohne" after 53.6 kilometers. The second runner follows an individual route until KM 61.5 before rejoining the Hexenstieg path. Travel to/from the exchange point must be organized independently.
Registration Deadline, Withdrawal & Transfer:
Online registration closes on April 03, 2027, at 23:59. No on-site registration is possible.
Refunds are available based on the date of withdrawal:
- Until December 31, 2026: 90%
- Until January 31, 2027: 75%
- Until February 28, 2027: 50%
- Until March 15, 2027: 20%
- No refunds after March 16, 2027.
Start place transfers to a substitute participant are free until April 03, 2027, by emailing [email protected] with the substitute's name. The substitute must register normally on the website.

Shuttle:
Shuttle departure from Finish to Start (€18,- p.P.): Saturday, April 17 / 06:00 / Thale Train Station. 110 seats available. Travel time to Osterode is approx. 1 hour 35 minutes. Drinks in closed containers are allowed on the bus; open containers and warm food are prohibited.
Before the Start (Breakfast & Dropbags):
Breakfast sandwiches and coffee are available for a small fee in Thale (05:00-05:50) and Osterode (06:30-07:45).
Dropbags/Own Supplies: Can be dropped off at the start for VP 3 and VP 4. Dropbags will be transported to the finish after the aid stations are dismantled and will be available by Sunday 07:00 at the latest. Re-shipping is possible for a fee (€10,- domestically, €15,- internationally).
