Heckenlauf Eicherscheid 2026
The Heckenlauf Eicherscheid will take place in Simmerath on Saturday, July 4, 2026. This event is designed for running-enthusiast families amidst a unique hedgerow landscape.
Start & Finish: Sportplatz Eicherscheid, Bachstraße, 52152 Simmerath
Registration: Online until Thursday, July 2, 2026, 8:00 PM. Late registrations are possible on-site up to 1 hour before the start of each race, with a €2.00 surcharge. The race office opens at 12:45 PM.
Course: The routes (mostly paved paths) wind through the unique beech hedgerow landscape around the village of Eicherscheid, with views of the Eifel National Park. Every kilometer is signposted, and water stations are provided approximately every 5 km (more frequently in hot weather).
Awards: Certificates for all upon request, material prizes for participants in children's and youth runs, age group winners (5 km, 10 km, 21 km) receive a prize, special prizes for the top 3 men/women (5 km, 10 km, half marathon), and an attractive raffle for all pre-registered participants (5 km, 10 km, 21 km, and walking).

- 2:00 PM: Bambini – 300 m (born 2022-2025) - €0
- 2:10 PM: Children's Run – 600 m (born 2019-2021) - €0
- 2:20 PM: Youth Run – 1500 m (born 2015-2018) - €3
- 2:35 PM: Youth Run – 3000 m (born 2011-2016) - €3
- 3:15 PM: 5 km Run (born 2009-2016: €4; born 1927-2008: €6)
- 4:30 PM: 10 km Run (born 2009-2012: €4; born 1927-2008: €8)
- 4:30 PM: Half Marathon – 21 km (born 2009-2010: €4; born 1927-2008: €10)
- 4:45 PM: 10 km Walking (born 1927-2025) - €6
Note: The Half Marathon route has been modified and includes some unpaved sections. Adjust footwear according to weather conditions.
