HBIA 21st Annual 5K By the Bay
The Hamilton Brain Injury Association presents the 21st Annual 5K By the Bay on June 20, 2026, at Pier 4 Park, Leander Drive, Hamilton, ON, Canada. The event is held in honour of Brain Injury Awareness Month and brings together survivors, family members, supporters, and community partners to raise awareness about acquired brain injury.

- Survivor Walk (1 km)
- Blake Heys Memorial Kids 1K Fun Run (1 km)
- 5K Classic Race (5 km), certified by Athletics Canada
The Survivor Walk is open to survivors, HBIA members, family, and friends. Survivors may register at no cost; family and friends can register and receive a customized race t-shirt for an additional fee. The Kids 1K is for elementary students from kindergarten to Grade 6 and includes prizes for winners in each grade plus a special prize for the top pledge collector. The 5K Classic is certified by Athletics Canada and awards prizes by age category.
The event includes fundraising components and lists an amount raised for the Hamilton Brain Injury Association. A number of local organizations are listed as sponsors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
