Great Yarmouth Half Marathon
Great Yarmouth Road Runners organise a summer half marathon on quiet country lanes of Norfolk and Suffolk, with a section through the grounds of Somerleyton Hall. The event is a Norfolk County Championship race and is the 11th and penultimate race in the SPORTLINK GRAND PRIX 2026. Licence No 31430.
The course starts and finishes at the race HQ at Ormiston Venture Academy in Gorleston and loops around Ashby, Lound and Somerleyton. There are multiple water stations along the route.

Facilities at the venue include parking, a hall to collect numbers, ample toilets, a large warm up area, refreshments in the canteen and a raffle.

All finishers receive a medal and a race t-shirt. Prizes include a trophy for first male and first female plus free entry to defend the title next year; age group and team trophies are also available.
Limitations:
The event has a three-hour cut-off. An early wave option is offered for those who may be affected, but early wave participants are not eligible for race, Norfolk County Championship or Sportlink prizes or points. Minimum age on race day is 17. As the event uses open roads, headphones including bone conductors are not permitted. Entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred; transfers to another runner are permitted until 04/08/2026.
