Gravel Run Ruhrgebiet
The Gravel Run Ruhrgebiet will take place in Herten on Saturday 15 August 2026. You can run 8 kilometers.
The race is set on the Halde Hoheward, a spectacular landscape structure in the Ruhr area, offering an urban-close yet exceptionally scenic location. It challenges participants with sufficient elevation to test their legs and tactics.
Course Details:
- Distance: 8 KM
- Terrain: Wide gravel paths, steep ramps, and wide plateaus.
- Segments: 4 timed segments along the route to challenge against the clock.
- Surfaces: Adapt to Asphalt, Gravel, Windkanten, and ascents.

- The Running Course: Breathtaking views and varied route.
- Segments & Surfaces: Run on at least three different surfaces, with sprints and climbs.
- Festival Area: Ample space for exchange and recovery, partner stands, and activations.

Public Transport: Approximately 30 minutes from Recklinghausen Hbf via S-Bahn and buses.
Parking: Limited parking available, pre-booking via the ticket shop is required. Parking tickets are for cars only and do not apply to caravans/motorhomes/buses.

Teams can be formed or joined up to 18 days before the event via the ticket portal.
