Fleet Feet Buffalo Summer Training Program 2026
Join us for the Fleet Feet Buffalo Summer Training Program, a 12-week in-person event starting on Thursday, July 9th, 2026. This program is designed to support your training goals, whether you aim to complete the Mighty Niagara Half Marathon or achieve a stronger 5K performance.
Program Dates: July 9th - October 1st, 2026
Goal Event: Mighty Niagara Half Marathon or 5K on October 3rd, 2026, or a similar event of your choice.
We offer three distinct 12-week programs:
- 5K 2.0 - "Get Stronger" 5K: Ideal for those who can currently run 2-3 miles and want to improve their 5K time or increase their running distance to 6-8 miles. Best for paces of 15 minutes/mile or faster.
- "Just Finish" Half Marathon Training (HFM): Designed for participants who want to complete a 13.1-mile Half Marathon. Requires the ability to run/walk 4 miles straight at 15 minute/mile or faster, with a minimum weekly mileage of 15 miles.
- "Just Faster" Half Marathon Training (HFM): For those aiming to achieve a faster Half Marathon time than before. Requires the ability to run/walk 5 miles straight at 15 minute/mile or faster, with a minimum weekly mileage of 15 miles.
All programs are flexible and tailored for runners. The 5K 2.0, Just Finish, and Just Faster Half Marathon programs are best suited for individuals running at a 15 minute/mile pace or faster.
In-Person Program Includes:
- Thursdays at 6 PM: Speed/Group Workouts with coaches at Fleet Feet Buffalo (optional but beneficial).
- Workout Plan: Provides schedule, structure, and accountability.
- Final Surge Platform: Delivers daily/weekly workouts via email and allows for workout logging.
- Coach Support: Access to coaches via email and a private Facebook group for communication, support, and advice.
- Special Voucher: Redeemable for gear at Fleet Feet Buffalo.
- Fleet Feet Limited "Running Changes Everything" technical top (must register by July 9th).
Participants are recommended to have prior training experience, especially for the Half Marathon programs, and access to a Facebook account. You are also required to carry water on your workouts during the summer months.
Open House: Join us for an informational Open House on Thursday, July 2nd, from 11 am to 6 pm at Fleet Feet Buffalo (2290 Delaware Ave) to ask questions and learn more.
