Extreme Challenge Sušice
The Extreme Challenge Sušice is a demanding multi-sport event that combines running, paragliding, mountain biking, and kayaking. First held in 2006, the race challenges participants to push their limits in the beautiful Šumava region.
Categories:
- Tým (Team): A team of 4 athletes, each specializing in one discipline, passing the relay baton throughout the race.
- na EX (All-in-One): For extreme enthusiasts who want to test their absolute limits, completing all disciplines consecutively without rest.
- Hobby: Designed for passionate athletes who want to participate but may not have a paragliding license. They will run instead of fly from Svatobor/Kalov. This applies to both individual and team Hobby categories.
Race Details:
The race begins at Fuferna with runners tackling an extended route along the river to "Páteček" before a climb to Svatobor peak. From there, paragliders take off, or participants run back to Sušice to hand over to cyclists. Cyclists face a challenging terrain around Svatobor before heading to "Páteček" to transfer to kayakers. Kayakers cross the Otava river and return to Fuferna, finishing with a ramp jump and slalom.
An afterparty will be held at Tradiční klub for all participants.
