16. E.ON Firmenlauf Essen
The 16th E.ON Firmenlauf Essen will take place on July 1, 2026. This event is known as the city's most athletic company party. Participants can expect a new, adjusted route for 2026. Additionally, companies have the option to book a team tent or reserve a table, serving as a meeting point before and after the run, and for cheering. The registration is open.
Teamcaptains Meeting
A Teamcaptains meeting will be held on January 26, 2026, at 5:00 PM in the E.ON Central Office Essen to answer questions and provide information on new features for the company run. Registration for the meeting is required.
Route and Facilities
The start and finish remain the same, but there will be a new, adapted route. Team tents and table reservations are available for companies. The event will also introduce a new catering partner, Imhoff.
Previous Event Success
The 15th E.ON Firmenlauf Essen on May 27, 2025, saw a record number of participants with over 14,800 individuals from 580 companies.
Important Information
Due to a new traffic concept mandated by the police, the 4th start wave at 7:45 PM will be canceled. Teams registered for this wave will move to the 3rd wave at 7:15 PM. Affected teams will receive an email with further details.
Individual Starters
For those who do not work in Essen or whose company is not participating, there is an opportunity to run as an individual starter by joining the 'bunert Essen Team'.
After-Run Party
Following the run, there will be an after-run party for celebrating, eating, and drinking.
