Endurancelife | South Devon
The South Devon coastal trail run takes place at Beesands on 23 January 2027 and starts at Start Point. The route lies within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and combines coastal sections with inland climbs. Surfaces include grass and rock, and the organiser describes the terrain as severe with substantial ascent on the longer courses.
Distances offered:
- 10K - 6.9 miles (ascent 1283 ft)
- Half Marathon - 13.3 miles (ascent 2238 ft)
- Marathon - 27.6 miles (ascent 4583 ft)
- Ultra - 33.8 miles (ascent 5397 ft)
Entries include a fully marked course, electronic timing with split results, finishers medal, energy bars and multiple on-site amenities. Event add-ons listed by the organiser include an event safety kit and short post-race massages. Online check-in is requested approximately two weeks before the event; the check-in process asks participants to confirm personal details including an ICE contact and to view a mandatory event safety video.
The event is part of the Endurancelife season leaderboard and awards points to finishers. Refund, transfer and postponement policies are provided by the organiser, including a 30-day full refund option for changes of mind and the ability to transfer entries up to 14 days before the event. 04/02/2026 12:00Endurancelife South Devon 2027 - Launched! This event is part of the Endurancelife 26-27 trail running season (September 2026 till July 2027). Runners who complete any distance category at this event will be awarded points and will be listed in the Season Leader Board. Points are awarded based on performance and can contribute to a participant's overall season score. Good luck! Read more here.
Check-in! : We will be asking all registered participants to check in online approximately two weeks from the event. The Check-in process will result in a simpler event experience for you by removing the usual on-the-day administration. Within the Check-in process we will ask you to check your personal details, such as your ICE (In Case of Emergency) contact, as well as watch the mandatory event safety video. This is where the Coastal Trail Series was born - the South Devon stage has become a cult classic. The course is contained within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and is simultaneously picturesque and punishing. With its blend of jagged rocks interspersed with idyllic sandy coves, this coastline is jaw-droppingly beautiful and hugely inspiring. The South Devon 10k, half, full and ultra-marathon events sell out every year, and you'll soon see why as you weave your way around the technical coastline, before heading inland to tackle a few of the infamous Devon hills!
