Ellesmere 10k Run
The Ellesmere 10k brings together an active community of people taking part in sporting events for reasons ranging from fitness, competition, charity, health, fun or to simply finish. The participants vary of all ages and all abilities of the runner.

Warm Up: 8:45 am

Parking
The town centre has multiple car parks for runners and spectators to use. This will be a 5 minute walk from the start/finish area.
Residents Information
We aim to minimize disruption for residents on race day. Roads will only be closed for a short period. If you live on the route and will need to leave by car during the road closure we advise that you move your car before the closure starts at 8:15 am. If you are travelling into the town, please follow the diversion routes to avoid the closed roads.
Spectator Information
The race will take place on fully closed roads for the safety of the runners and the volunteers. Spectators are asked to listen to Marshals and stay off the course until runners have passed. We suggest that spectators watch the start and finish on Scotland Street/High Street.
Slower Runners
The race cut off time is 90 minutes. Roads will re-open in line with this pace. If you fall behind this pace, for your own safety you may be asked to withdraw from the race.
About Ellesmere 10k
The race offers a lovely route for all runners. It takes in the centre of Ellesmere at the start and finish with a nice countryside section that includes the amazing grounds of Ellesmere College. Once you have completed the run, you will receive your own finishers medal and goodies!
Minimum Ages
Min age 15 years old.
Race Experience
We aim to have 1 water station around halfway around the 10k route and by the start and finish area for all runners. Please can we encourage you to bring a suitable bottle to run with. At the finish line we will give you your medal and let you enjoy the atmosphere.
Ellesmere 10k Route
The route offers a great blend of fast sections and some small inclines. We have a little bit of everything including Ellesmere centre roads and countryside lanes with lovely views.

The Ellesmere 10K Charity Partner is The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital.
