Dimple Dell Half Marathon
Join us for the Dimple Dell Half Marathon on Saturday, October 10, 2026. This event offers a beautiful and well-marked course through Dimple Dell, known for its fall colors and mountain vistas. The course is a mix of wood-chipped and single-track trails, suitable for both beginner trail runners and experienced athletes.

Course Details:
The Half Marathon starts at Lone Peak Park and enters Dimple Dell on a wood-chipped trail. The course features rolling hills, some climbs, and scenic views. It is approximately 13.0 miles with an elevation gain of +1,176 ft. The terrain is 95% trail and 5% paved.
Race Schedule:
- Race Day: Saturday, October 10, 2026
- Start Time: 7:15 AM MT
- Packet Pickup: Friday, Oct 9 (3 PM - 6 PM) at Sandy Salt Lake Running Store; Race Day (5:45 AM) at the starting line.
Registration & Pricing:
- Early Registration: $60 (ends April 10)
- Normal Registration: $70
- Late Registration: $80 (begins September 10)
- Registration closes: Friday, October 9 @ 11:59 PM MT
Awards:
Overall male and female 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners receive custom plaques and gift cards. Age division medals for top finishers in various age groups.
Volunteer Information:
Volunteers receive a free race entry for a future Happy Trails race and access to food at the finish line.
