Derby MoRun at Markeaton Park
Derby MoRun is a fundraising running event supporting Movember, held at Markeaton Park (postcode DE22 4AA). The event offers multiple distances and a timed finish for all adult and junior races. Movember fundraising covers prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention; participants can add donations or set up fundraising pages after entry.
Race features include full race chip timing with instant results, a finisher headband, a MoRun medal, and drinks and snacks at the finish. The event also awards bonus medals and spot prizes for categories such as fastest runner and best costume. A fancy dress competition and spot prizes are part of the event experience.
Practical information notes that registration is located near the main car park and race packs include a chip-on-bib number and safety pins; participants should display their race number on an outer garment for timing and photography. Limited bag storage is provided under manned gazebos and toilets are available in the event hub. Parking is available at the main car park (DE22 4AA) and at the Mundy Play Centre (DE22 4NH); normal parking charges apply.
Course details: the route mixes paths and trails, is undulating, allows dogs, and is suitable for buggy running and wheelchairs. Lap layouts vary by distance as listed below. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
