About this event
Date of Challenge: 5th June 2024
The first record of Danes is said to have occurred around 10,000 BC. By 3,000 BC farms had begun to appear on the land we now know as Denmark.
Perhaps most people connect the Vikings with Denmark. The first Vikings are traced back to around the 700s AD when they travelled to the south of Denmark. It is said that later they adopted Christianity and settled.
These days, Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, is a beautiful city with some fantastic attractions such as the Tivoli Gardens, the Copenhagen Botanical Gardens, Rosenborg Castle, and of course the famous Little Mermaid statue.
