Czechia Backyard Ultra Run 2027
The fourth edition of the ultra running race with the motto: "Run as long as you can." This is the 5th race of its type in the Czech Republic and will be a Silver Ticket race, offering a chance to participate in an international competition of endurance athletes. The race is set in the beautiful surroundings of the castle park in Holešov. The event will be live-streamed.
Race Details
- Dates: May 8 - 11, 2027
- Start: Saturday, May 8, at 10:00 AM
- Location: Zámecký park Holešov, Holešov swimming pool area
- Course: A 6.706 km loop within the Holešov castle park.
The race format involves participants starting a 6.706 km loop at the top of each hour, completing it within 60 minutes. The winner is the last runner to start and finish a loop. All other participants will have a DNF (Did Not Finish) status, with their total distance covered noted.
The start/finish line is located at the swimming pool facility. Runners proceed into the park, follow a path towards the castle, loop around the water feature, pass the start/finish area, and continue to the end of the park. They then take a left onto an asphalt cycle path, turn left again after a few dozen meters back into the park, and after about 700m, turn right onto the cycle path. They run to the end of the path, turn around, and return the same way to the start/finish area, completing the loop.
Entry Fees
- 1600 CZK (until September 30, 2026)
- 1900 CZK (until December 31, 2026)
- 2200 CZK (until April 24, 2027)
Late registration or registration at the start will not be possible. The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 120 runners. Re-registration to another participant is possible until April 24, 2027.
Entry fee includes: personalized bib number indicating the number of laps completed, a commemorative medal, refreshments, live streaming, prize for the winner, medical support, showers, toilets, constant supervision in the start/finish area, and facility rental.
Cancellation Policy
Paid entry fees are non-refundable. In case of cancellation due to force majeure, the entry fee will be transferred. If you withdraw from the race up to 30 days before the start, 70% of the entry fee will be refunded. After that, no refunds will be issued. Discounts not applied in the registration form cannot be claimed retroactively.
Re-registration
Entry fees can be transferred to another participant until April 24, 2027. Send an email request to [email protected] from the email address used for registration. The request must include the contact details of the newly registered participant (name, date of birth, email). The new participant must register for the same race via the web interface. The organizer will then facilitate the transfer of the entry fee through the web interface. A 100 CZK administrative fee applies for transfers made via email. A 200 CZK administrative fee applies for transfers on the day of the race.
